Using Thermal Imaging in Home Restoration

Thermal Imaging is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to “see” and “measure” surface temperature changes. Infrared (IR) thermographic inspection is a powerful and non-invasive means of monitoring and diagnosing building conditions. IR thermographic images can instantly be captured and recorded in high resolution, and downloaded to a PC or in real-time to a video recorder.

Thermal imaging is the fastest and most effective way to do a building condition assessment.

Cleveland Master of Disasters has certified thermographers that travel the country assessing and diagnosing various issues, such as:

IR Thermography for Proper Home Inspections

Cleveland Master of Disasters uses thermal imaging to identify issues both before and after we perform facility restoration services. Using thermal imaging helps our team safely assess a building before entering it. It functions mainly in dark or indistinguishable environments, oftentimes when smoke is present after a fire. If there is serious structural damage, we would be able to detect it based on the IR thermographic image, and then work around the damage to keep the property intact.

As a commercial restoration company, many of our emergency calls happen in the middle of the night, when it is hard to see our surroundings. Thermal imaging helps to give us an extra set of eyes that can see in a dark environment. When Cleveland Master of Disasters restores your property after it has suffered environmental damage, we want to make sure we take all precautions to not further damage your business. That’s why we use IR thermographic imaging to diagnose building conditions.
